En dans för ett ord
It starts with a word. Perhaps something you remember, maybe a longed for feeling, or a fantasy. The word takes shape in the form of dance and movement, along with music. It forms a reminder about meeting and about dancing, in a performance that exists only here and now.
En dans för ett ord is an improvised and interactive dance performance that starts from a word given from an audience member to the dancers. One dancer lets the word transform into gestures, movement and dance, the other chooses music and sound. The performance can take place in rooms where dance rarely exists; in classrooms, at nursing homes or other healthcare facilities. It’s a performance about opening doors to memories and fantasies, in a meeting where dancers and the audience collaborates in order to create something entirely new.
