Sensing Movement: Creating Sensory Performance

This workshop offers an insight into the creative process behind developing the performance Brrr – a new sensory installation with live performance by choreographer Hayley Earlam for young audiences with complex needs aged 10-18. Aimed at those interested in sensory performance, inclusive practice or engaging with audiences with complex needs, the workshop introduces creative movement tools used in the making of Brrr, including play schemas, improvisation, and sensory exploration.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement. No prior dance experience is required – just a willingness to explore through movement and play.

The workshop is held in English and participation is free of charge. You must be 18 years or older to attend and there’s a maximum capacity of 12 participants.

The workshop with Hayley is made possible with financial support from British Council

Registration opens January 15, 2026!
